Happy Birthday to CDF alumnus Boris Karloff!

November 23, 1887 – February 2, 1969

Born William Henry Pratt in Camberwell, Surrey, England; Boris Karloff was an English actor and horror icon starring as Frankenstein’s monster in the 1931 classic horror film FRANKENSTEIN, as well as BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935) and SON of FRANKENSTEIN (1939)! His many contributions to the CDF library include THE MUMMY (1932), THE BLACK CAT (1934), THE RAVEN (1935), THE INVISIBLE RAY (1936), NIGHT KEY (1937), BLACK FRIDAY (1940), THE APE (1940), ISLE OF THE DEAD (1945), THE BLACK CASTLE (1953), THE RAVEN (1963), THE TERROR (1963), BLACK SABBATH (1964), DIE MONSTER DIE! (1965), and many others! Mr. Karloff is also remembered for his wonderful narration as ’The Grinch’ in the classic 1966 Christmas television special How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
