March 1, 1885 – April 2, 1946

Born in Croydon, Greater London, England; Lionel Alfred William Atwill was a British stage and screen actor with notable roles in films such as The Devil Is a Woman (1935), The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939), Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon (1943), and To Be or Not to Be (1942). Mr. Atwill’s many contributions to the Creature Double Feature filmography include – SON OF FRANKENSTEIN (1939) as Inspector Krogh, MAN MADE MONSTER (1941) as Dr. Paul Rigas, THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN (1942) as Doctor Theodore Bohmer, FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN (1943) as Mayor, HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1944) as Inspector Arnz, HOUSE OF DRACULA (1945) as Police Inspector Holtz!
