October 24, 1931 – March 14, 2014

Ken Utsui, born in Tokyo, Japan, was a prolific actor for many decades, amassing an amazing 150 acting credits including a pair of CDF classics from 1965 – ATTACK FROM SPACE, and EVIL BRAIN FROM OUTER SPACE. He is best known in the United States, and to CDF enthusiasts, as the heroic Starman (a.k.a. Super Giant), Japan’s first celluloid superhero who fought a variety of grotesque creatures in the late 1950s!
