Happy Birthday to CDF alumnus Ishiro Honda!

May 7, 1911 – February 28, 1993

Toho’s most renowned director of science fiction, Ishiro Honda directed many CDF fan favorites including an amazing 11 Godzilla movies, such as the original GODZILLA (1954), GHIDORAH, THE THREE-HEADED MONSTER (1964), INVASION OF THE ASTRO-MONSTER (1965), DESTROY ALL MONSTERS (1968), and TERROR OF MECHAGODZILLA (1974); as well as the classics MATANGO (1963), DOGORA (1964), FRANKENSTEIN CONQUERS THE WORLD (1965), THE WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS (1966), and SPACE AMOEBA (1970)!  Mr. Honda, along with film producer Tomoyuki Tanaka and special-effects wizard Eiji Tsuburaya, is most famous as the creator of Godzilla!
