Born in Bronxville, New York as John McArthur Hoysradt — actor and writer John Hoyt may be best known for his big screen roles in Spatacus (1960), When Worlds Collide (1951), and Cleopatra (1963), as well as his numerous guest appearances in a variety of television series such as Star Trek (1966), The Monkees (1967), Planet of the Apes (1974), Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1975), The Six Million Dollar Man (1977), Battlestar Galactica (1979), and many others; but it was his roles in ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE (1958) and X: THE MAN WITH X-RAY EYES (1963) that secures his inclusion among the honored CDF Alumni.
