“Mr. Warmth,” Donald Jay Rickles, was one of the most respected talents in entertainment and widely regarded as being one of the best insult comics of all time. In addition to becoming a mainstay of The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts specials, Mr. Rickles made numerous guest appearances on many well known television series such as; The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Munsters, The Addams Family, Gilligan’s Island, Get Smart, The Twilight Zone, The Andy Griffith Show and I Dream of Jeannie. Many of us may remember his roles in such films as John Landis’ horror crime comedy Innocent Blood, or Martin Scorsese’s crime epic Casino; while younger fans will surely remember his recurring role as Mr. Potato Head in Pixar’s Toy Story films. But it was Mr. Rickles’ role as the carnival barker, Crane, in the 1963 film directed by Roger Corman – X: THE MAN WITH X-RAY EYES that secures his status among the esteemed CDF Alumni.
