Happy Birthday to CDF alumnus Laurence Naismith!

December 14, 1908 – June 5, 1992

A British character actor with over a hundred credits on his resumé, Laurence Naismith notably played Argos in Jason and the Argonauts (1963), and Professor Bromley in the CDF fan-favorite THE VALLEY OF GWANGI. As well as appearing in these two Ray Harryhausen classics, Mr. Naismith enjoyed a long acting career peppered with memorable roles; such as Captain Edward John Smith in 1958’s Titanic film A Night to Remember, Mr. Blunden in the children’s ghost film The Amazing Mr. Blunden (1972), and Mr. Fezziwig in the 1970 musical film Scrooge.
