Born John Arnold Waks in New Haven, Connecticut; Mr. Arnold was a film and television director recognized as one of the great directors of 1950s science-fiction features. He is best remembered for directing the CDF classics – IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1953), CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954), REVENGE OF THE CREATURE (1955), TARANTULA (1955), THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN (1957), and MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS (1958)!
