Happy Birthday to CDF alumnus Bela Lugosi!

October 20, 1882 – August 16, 1956

Born Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó in Lugos, Kingdom of Hungary, Austria-Hungary; Bela Lugosi was a fantastic character actor with over 110 credits on his acting resume – including the CDF classics THE RAVEN (1935), THE INVISIBLE RAY (1936), SON OF FRANKENSTEIN (1939), BLACK FRIDAY (1940), THE WOLF MAN (1941), THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN (1942), FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN, and ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN (1948)! However it is his captivating performance as the undead Translyvanian Count in 1931’s DRACULA that achieves his silver screen immortality as one of the original Universal Monsters horror icons!
