Happy Birthday to CDF Alumna Julie Adams!

October 17, 1926 – February 3, 2019

Born Betty May Adams in Waterloo, Iowa; Ms. Adams was an American actress with nearly 150 acting credits spanning almost 70 years in show business! She co-starred in 1950s films opposite some of Hollywood’s top leading men including James Stewart, Charlton Heston, Rock Hudson, and Glenn Ford. On the small screen, Ms. Adams enjoyed recurring roles on Murder, She Wrote (1991-93), and Perry Mason (1964-65) – and made appearances on shows such as Maverick, The Rifleman (1960), Bonanza (1961), Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1958-61), The Andy Griffith Show (1962), Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1975), Marcus Welby, M.D. (1969-75), The Incredible Hulk (1978), and many, many others! Her most famous and eternal role, Ms. Adams was cast as the imperiled heroine Kay Lawrence in the 1954 Universal Monsters and CDF classic – CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON!
