Happy Birthday to CDF alumnus Rhodes Reason!

April 19, 1930 – December 26, 2014

Born in Glendale, CA – American actor Rhodes Reason appeared in more than two hundred roles in television, film, and stage — starring in the television series White Hunter (1958), and as Sheriff Will Mayberry in the ABC drama series Bus Stop (1961). Mr. Reason also guest starred on series such as Maverick (1957), Tombstone Territory (1957), 77 Sunset Strip (1958), Bourbon Street Beat (1960), The Time Tunnel (1966), Perry Mason (1966), The Big Valley (1967), The Lucy Show (1967), Star Trek (1968), and Here’s Lucy (1968); with feature film appearances in Yellowstone Kelly (1959) and A Fever in the Blood (1961), as well as starring in the Broadway musical Annie, in the early 1980s, playing Daddy Warbucks — but it is his starring role as Commander Carl Nelson in the 1967 Toho-Rankin/Bass science-fiction kaiju film KING KONG ESCAPES that secures his status among the esteemed CDF Alumni.
